We received an email from a possible donor and he had a question about how we make decisions regarding our ministry. This man wanted to know whether or not we are a “Christ driven” organization.
Before he made a decision on whether or not to donate to us, he wanted to make sure that we are in His Word and following His Will, not our own or anyone else.
We were happy to answer his question and so we shared with him some of what we have posted on here……see below:
Rejuvenating Women will seek the Lord and His Will for us and where He wants this ministry to go. After all, this is HIS ministry and we are only the shell in which is used for His purpose in it. We must be willing and open to listen to what the Lord tells us to do as a ministry, rescue and restoration program. To be an open and cleansed vessel for the Lord to use is at the utmost importance to each of us that represent Rejuvenating Women and it’s subsidiaries.
In that, we strive to be obedient to God and whatever He has for us whether we understand or agree with it or not….obedience is key. We do NOT do what other people in ministry (even the very best Christ followers) say that we should do UNLESS the good Lord, (our ultimate Adviser) confirms that we should…and He does.
Just because someone thinks or feels a person in ministry or the body of the organization should be run a certain way, or make certain decisions that they don’t agree with, does not in any way mean that it is the way that God wants it to be done. What we do as an organization, goes before the Lord in prayer and sometimes, fasting is done. Then if needed, our Board of Directors is informed and we all take it to the Lord in prayer. After that, we wait for His direction and then confirmation from Him, even if it takes a while for an answer.
Thank you to the man that asked this question because we love telling others how “in charge” God is here.
Here is a Bible verse that says exactly this……..
“Don’t put your confidence in powerful people;
there is no help for you there.
When they breathe their last, they return to the earth,
and all their plans die with them. But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper,
whose hope is in the Lord their God”. – Psalm 146:3-5
Thank you to those who donate to us and believe in this cause that God put on our hearts to do.
