It is important for Christians to remain strong in their faith and walk daily in God’s Word.  It is crucial that we don’t let our weaknesses in this world get the best of us.  We are to live IN the world, but not be OF the world.  The enemy is always looking for ways to tempt us by dangling that bait in front of your eyes every time.  How are you going to react when temptation arises?  What are you going to do to make sure that you don’t “fall from grace” and get caught up in the things of this world.  (A great example of this that I was guilty of doing is drinking alcohol with the purpose of catching a “buzz” or to get drunk.  That, my dear friends is “of the world”.)  No one loves seeing you fall from grace more than Satan himself and he will do anything to make that happen.

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and read your bible daily, pray all the time, serve and help others, go to a Bible teaching church every Sunday, get involved in a bible study weekly and be obedient to God because you love Him.  There are so many other ways to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, but these were the big ones that came to mind first.

Hebrews 6:4-8 – “It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God.  But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.”

It’s also worth me mentioning that you need to repent if you have fallen away.  Repent and believe that Jesus Christ has forgiven you…no matter what you have done or how many times you have done it.  YOU ARE FORGIVEN!

Romans 10: 9-10 – That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

Romans 8:1 – There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Acts 8:22-23  – “Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of heart may be forgiven you.  For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity.”

REPENT, REPENT, REPENT…Confess and then ask for Almighty God’s forgiveness and ask Jesus into your heart surrendering all of yourself to Him and His love.  You can pray this even if you have said it before…you can’t say it too much.  God knows your heart. Forgive those who have hurt you AND whom you have hurt.  This is what Jesus Christ died for.
