Yesterday 2,000 years ago, Jesus died on a cross shedding his sin free blood for you and me. He went through such torture that we can not even imagine or wrap our minds around. Three days after Jesus’s death, it is known that Jesus rose from the dead proving that He is the son of God and our savior of this world.
Easter has been so commercialized with cute little bunnies and a large one who delivers candy and eggs. The Easter Bunny carefully hides them so our children may go on a search to find them. What happens is that the next generation, forgets what Easter is truly about and focuses on the furry fun things and the Easter egg hunts that are all over the city from one end to another.
This Easter, I focus on the real reason we celebrate and bask in the joy and glory of Jesus’ unconditional love and forgiveness that he has brought us. Jesus shed his blood for me. He shed his blood for you. He shed his blood for every single human being from the very beginning of time until the very end of time.
Praise Jesus for all that he has done for us, that we may be bold for Him and spread the truth about why we celebrate Easter. I thank The Lord for all He has done for me because He loves me so very much and I love Him! All glory to God!
[quotes] Romans 10:9 – “That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”[/quotes]
